Sun and Sundog

The Garage Cats made a new friend today.

My sister and nephew were over, and we spent some time outside in the yard.  The nephew and D-dog had a blast.  And then Roo and Dorian came to check out the fun.  My nephew has only seen my cats a couple of times before, when he was really little (my house is totally not baby/toddler proof, so I typically go see them), so when Roo and Dorian came up to visit him and rub on him, he was all about it!  He did really well with them, probably because he's used to being around my mom's little chihuahuas.  There was no grabbing or pulling at them, he didn't even really try to pet them. They just loved on him, and he let them.

And then he chased D around the yard, laughing at her and carrying the first golf ball of the season.(It's officially spring... the golf balls have sprouted!)  I let him take it home as a "trophy".

I did some cleaning after they went home, and then D and I went to visit them and have dinner.  D got to run around playing with the chihuahuas and sniffing new things while I pulled the nephew around in his wagon.

I think all three of us are going to pass out pretty hard tonight.

Mads, Itty, Zi, Gremlin and D are all sitting and staring out the window.  I have no idea what's out there, but I'm guessing probably Roo or Dorian.  Mari doesn't seem to care. She's on the floor washing her face.

Smoak made his weekly appearance today.  He was in bed when I went to feed them this morning, and out in the yard when D and I got home. I think he just likes making me worry, because he disappears just long enough to make me wonder, and then shows up as if to say "ohai! did i fool you?"

I haven't seen much evidence of my raccoon, lately, which is a good thing.  I'm not letting myself believe that it's gone, but I haven't noticed much destruction.  Usually, the food bowls are not where they're supposed to be, or the food bucket is knocked over.  I haven't been keeping much extra food outside, since he dumped the bucket and wasted a boatload of it, and what I do have is in a jar with a twist-lid on it.

And the South Park Game of Thrones parody is on and demanding my attention.  Have a good week!
