Bunday Sunday

Happy Easter.

I spent it with the furkids, after using the morning to get some cleaning done and then an hour or so with my sister and nephew.  We took Little Man to go get ice cream and Starbucks (He gets a cup of whipped cream, he's too young for coffee.  But he knows the cup and gets so excited!).

It was nice enough out that I ended up sitting outside with four of my best friends... D-dog, Roo, Dorian and a tall Flat White from aforementioned outing.  :)

D wandered around, smelling things, like dogs do.  Until she came across something that totally made her day.  She found a snake, and promptly proceeded to dispatch of it.  It was a tiny little garden snake, it didn't take long.  But she was all sorts of happy, and I'm pretty sure another one got away while she was realizing that snake doesn't really taste that great.

Roo and Dorian on the other hand, were content to sit and soak up some rays with me, after rolling around in the dirt and trying to mooch some of my coffee. Silly boys.

Gremlin and Mari had a bath-time wrestling match not too long ago, until D decided they were getting too rough and threw in the towel.  Or rather, got off the couch and shoved her head between them to break them up.  For a dog, she's a pretty good rough-housing ref.  They know they're in trouble when she gets involved.  Makes it easier for me, not having to scold them.  They listen to her better than they do me, anyway.  I just get the "but MOOOOOM!" look and they're back at it a few minutes later.

Everyone is napping right now, except for Mads, who is perched on the cat tree staring out the window.  There's a bird out there, chirping at him.  And also, a red squirrel climbing around.  And Smoak, trying to climb the tree to get at either of the offending creatures.  Guess it must be time to go fill the food bowls, if he's out hunting.  Although.... the red squirrels DID destroy my eaves this winter....

Zizi decided she wanted to meet Dorian yesterday.  He was at the door, crying to come in, even though he won't.  So, I sat in the doorway petting him for a minute, and Zi was on the counter-top behind me.  next thing I know, she's on the porch next to him.  She's never really tried to go outside before.  Apparently, she just wanted a closer look at what she would look like with a tail and a white bowtie.  It happened too quick and I didn't want to risk her running off to stop and take a picture. But, I did get one of Gremlin and his outdoor-doppelganger checking each other out.  Or rather, Gremlin checking him out from the safety of the lamp shelf, while Roo rolled around on the floor.

No, my curtains really aren't that bright.  I got a new phone yesterday, and I haven't quite figured out the camera settings yet.  :)

Alright... feeding time.  Have a good week!
