Five-One-Three

Eight cats. One dog. What could possibly happen. . .?

I am the crazy cat lady.  You can call me CCL. Or Bastet 2.0. That works, too.

My roommates, or rather, my bosses, because, let's face it: I'm just the butler.
  • Dally, the Green Baroness - dog/mixed breed (D, D-dog)
  • Maddox, Emperor Maddie Cat the First - dark tabby (Mads, Maddie, M-cat, Madcat)
  • Itty, Duke of Windowsill - cat/orange tabby (Its, Ittybitty)
  • Zi, Huntress Lady Gray - gray Manx (Zizi, Shadowcat)
  • Mari, Princess of Lap-land - dilute Calico (Mars. M-cat)
  • Mogwai, the Impaler... of toes - black cat (Gremlin)

And, there are also The Garage Kitties - three "strays" who have moved into my garage for the winter.
  • Brewster - black cat (Roo)
  • Dorian - gray cat
  • New Girl - feral cat that I can't even confirm the gender of, but looks like a pale tortoiseshell. So I'm calling her NG, until I can confirm and give her a name. Could be a while.  She's already been around three weeks, and half the time, I'm not even sure she's still here, except that D goes bananas every time we go to check on the boys, and I occasionally catch sight of her coming out to take a bath and get some sun.

No, I'm not a "hoarder".  I love my fur-kids, they are my babies.  I take care of them, and they're spoiled rotten.  Even the Garage kitties.  "My" five stay inside, but the Garage kitties are free to come and go as they please, and believe me, they do.  They have multiple sleeping/feeding/watering areas, and they get checked on and scritches multiple times a day.  D-dog is an indoor dog, who has a big fenced yard to wander as she pleases.

Most of the time, you can find any number of them curled up in my bed, or on the couch.  Even though they have multiple beds and cat-trees of their own.... all things are belong to critters. So says them.  I obey.

So... why the blog?  Because, really. . . What could possibly happen?

How about we start with this:
I stopped at the pet store this morning to do some "grocery shopping".  Came home and unloaded the truck, and Roo came to supervise.  Or at least, that's what I thought he was doing.  Until he hopped in the truck, took a look around, and then curled up in the dash.

Behold, the latest automotive accessory.... the DashCat.

He was cold, the truck was warm. I get it.  But, it was still pretty damn cute, and totally made my morning.  A nap curled up with D, Mari and Mads made my afternoon.
